Venice - 2007

In Venice, with dear friends, fellow artists and “Glasgow Girls” Alison Harper (middle) and Rosemary Beaton (right) on a research trip. The visit to Venice provided inspiration and insights for 3 women show titled “Love” scheduled with Vaila Fine Art, Shetland in 2008.

The gallery is a lovingly renovated building situated in the historic Lodberrie area of Lerwick.  The connection with Lerwick and Venice is the significant relationship with the sea, as ports within unique settings.  The exhibition offered the 3 Glasgow Girls another research visit and the chance to stay with gallery owner Dorota Rchylik, on the Island of Vaila situated on the remote west coast of the Shetland Isles.
