Painting the Polar Landscape

Lesley Burr was selected as the 2019 arctic artist in residence by the Friends of Scott Polar research institute to the Canadian arctic.

Over the past 3 years Lesley has produced a substantial body of arctic inspired paintings and prints which will be on display in this exhibition. A visual book publication to accompany the exhibitions is planned, with written text provided by RSA Director Colin Greenslade.  The book publication will objectify, contextualise and promote the paintings, prints, ceramics alongside the importance of arctic themes.
