Short Statement
My work is greatly influenced by the landscape in which I live and is based on specific themes often influenced by a particular place or experience. I am interested in creating images that reflect the ever changing qualities of the cycles of nature, symbolising the rich and varied aspects of human experience.
Recent paintings are inspired by water and plants taken from a variety of sources - looking closely at both real and imaginative experiences, exploring a range of ideas on an environmental theme that suggest fragility, harmony, invention and faith.
My chosen mediums are oil, mixed media and pastels on paper.
